Deciding the setting in your novel =)

Alright, thought of the most brilliant idea? Now what? Now is the time for you to create and think of the most suitable setting in the novel.
A setting, you say, what is a setting? (Or you could be saying, of course you have to create a setting, silly) Either way I shall explain about a setting.
A setting is basically a blueprint for the plot of your novel. In other words, a setting is the type of characteristics of the place or society in which the plot of the novel tells the readers of.

Now for an example:

Main Characters:
Christine Dae and Raoul ( aristocratic society in the 19th century)
These couple are lovers who face great dangers to keep their love flying high.
Geographic Location:
The Opera House in Paris

By creating a suitable setting, the novel will then be more interesting and the reader's minds can be captured. Their thoughts will be brought to that setting making the novel more realistic thus locking the readers attention preventing them from straying from your novel. =)
